Dear EFS Members, Friends and Colleagues,
on behalf the EFS and the Spanish Federation of Sexology (FESS), it is a pleasure and a great honor to welcome you to the 11th Congress of the European Federation of Sexology to be held in Madrid from 20 to 22 September 2012.
The theme of the 11th Congress, “Promoting sexual health: a pathway to happiness”, was chosen to emphasize our aspiration to improve all aspects of sexual health through the promotion of correct scientific information.
So, after a very hard and intense preparation, we are proud to present an attractive and varied scientific program where men’s, women’s, and couple’s issues will be comprehensively debated, with particular attention to some of the less well investigated aspects of the human being’s sexual health.
For this goal, some of the prominent experts of the several fields of Sexology, medicine – psychology – sociology – jurisprudence – physiology – biology and other all, will be invited to present the most recently-update knowledge and innovation in their disciplines.
Clinical and scientific experiences will be provided in many interdisciplinary round-table, master lectures and state of art, as well as in many podium sessions and posters.
We address a special invitation and look forward to welcoming to the EFS 2012 to the members of the affiliated societies of the European Federation of Sexology and to all who work in the Sexological field.
The local host, Spanish Federation of Sexology, is formed by 37 scientific societies of Sexology all over Spain and is considered to be leader in Sexual Health in the country. We are happy to organize the congress -for the first time in Spain- together with our friends and colleagues from the European Federation of Sexology. Surely the Congress will achieve a high level of technical debate and research, combined with the excellent cultural amenities that Madrid offers to the visitor. We have no doubt that, in the evocative landscape of Madrid, charming City of international poets painters and artists, this Congress will be a memorable occasion for fruitful interchanges of ideas and the development of long-lasting friendship.
